Prudhomme Medal, obverse

Prudhomme Medal, reverse

Bronze 29 mm medal. The obverse depicts a helmeted female head with a palm leaf behind and a laurel branch partly covering the helmet. The town's name is split up on both sides of the head with "1916" underneath the "VER". To the bottom right is the engraver's name "G. PRUDHOMME".

The reverse has a rectangle at the top (for the possible engraving of the recipient's name) under a rose guirlande. The rest is taken by the text "AUX GLORIEUX DEFENSEURS DE VERDUN" (To the glorious defenders of Verdun).
