In Korea, whilst serving with the United Nations, has commanded his company at Chatkol, during the battles of March-April 1953, against an agressive and fanatic enemy, confirming his disregard for danger and being always present at the most exposed positions from where he could best direct the battle. Has been one of the prime factors in the battalion's success. Performed several patrols from April to mid-July 1953. Showed great aggressiveness in them, particularly on 7 May, when he calmly let the enemy close to within 20 metres before opening fire. then, with grenades and bursts of fire, covered the withdrawal of the patrol. Had already been wounded during the battles at Haktang-Ni on 13 October 1951.

The excellent conduct of the battalion in these battles earned it a citation in the orders of the day of the army.

Exceptionally dynamic officer, serving in Korea with the United Nations. Accompanied, on 26 Sept. 1952, at Kojak-Kol, a platoon of B-company. Engaged by a superior number of enemy forces, he received the order to withdraw. With a few men he covered the retreat and was hit by submachine gun fire during close combat fighting and fell into enemy hands. Profiting from a moment of inattention by the men that had captured him, he disabled them with grenades he had managed to keep on himself and in the ensuing disorder escaped along a ditch. Through his refusal to be beaten in any circumstances, however desperate they seemed and in spite of his serious wounds, Captain Hazée showed the entire battalion an example of courage and the will to win.

Volunteer for all dangerous missions, he distinguished himself through his disregard for danger. On 22 April 1951, during the Imjin battle, he escaped from hospital and tried to rejoin his encircled unit; not having succeeded in doing so, he attached himself to a company of American Rangers and was engaged in several battles with this unit. On 17 July 1951, during an operation of the battalion, his platoon was placed in a dangerous situation, having to withdraw over open terrain under machine gun fire. Pvt. Hermia volunteered to engage the enemy gun and protect the retreat of his platoon. In order to better accomplish this mission, he manoeuvered into the open terrain to draw the enemy fire on himself. Also at Chatkol, on 3 July 1953, during a raid in platoon strength on a Chinese outpost, he lead his men with such audacity and speed that the enemy was completely surprised and heavy casualties both in men and material were inflicted. The excellent coordination of the detachments allowed the raiders to return to their lines with only one severely injured man.

Officer with a high sense of duty, he has commanded for a year his company in the field with remarkable authority, courage and competence. On 26 Sept. 1952, at Kojok Kol, charged with his company to make a raid in front of the lines, he placed his command post in an adjoining advanced position. After a particularly violent bombardment, superior numbers of enemy forces managed to penetrate the outpost and subdue its occupants. Captain Loquet and his command group defended the position in heavy close combat fighting, sacrificing their lives for the accomplishment of their mission.

Liaison officer and second in command of the volunteer corps in Korea. Has always sought to perform his duties in the most exposed positions. On 4 April 1951, he voluntarily accompanied a patrol of the US 7th Inf.Reg. and when stopped by enemy fire, managed by his personal actions to recover an American wounded soldier. On 23 April, he accompanied the tank platoons that were sent to cover the battalion's withdrawal and performed several reconnaissance missions under enemy fire and prepared and participated in the execution of the operation that saved the battalion's vehicle park. On 4 August, whilst on an upturned raft in the Imjin River and in spite of the violent current and danger, he assisted in rescuing a British officer who would have drowned without his intervening.
